Thomas Danthony is a talented artist from London. VOYAGE is an invitation to a poetic journey tinted with mystery and romance, inspired by places he might have visited or dreamed.
Linked by a loose narrative the images follow a dreamy journey to exotic places with an essence of romance and mystery.
He used a custom technique derivated from 19th century stencil art reproduction to paint them. This process allows the image to be reproduced three times only, before the stencil are destroyed. Everything is hand made so all the paintings are slightly different and unique.
VOYAGE was Thomas’s first solo show, it opened in Paris at the gallery Sergeant Paper on the 4th of September 2015. He exhibited 12 paintings and digital prints, along with a window display installation.
