In his series of swimming figures, Colombian illustrator and painter Pedro Covo captures the nature of water with fractured brush strokes, and the sinuous undefined lines of bodies underwater.
Thanks to his experimental and highly risky mixed techniques, Pedro has been keeping his clients on their toes since he was 18.
Restlessly, he seeks for fresh ideas, but for him nothing compares to a good old fashioned drawing session isolated in the privacy of his dark chamber.
He hopes his work leaves audiences dazzled, bewildered and slightly confused. Creating images isn’t simply his profession, but his unique language.
Pedro Covo was born in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia on 1988, graduated from Visual Arts in the Javeriana University of Bogota in 2011, and have worked for several magazines and companies since 2008 in Colombia and abroad, such as EuroDisney, Der Spiegel, Tv Channel Historia in Quebec, Detroit Business, Reveu Long Course, Semana, El Tiempo, and many others.
