Marielle Degioanni is a French artist, currently based in south of France. Her practice is focusing on drawing on paper.
Inspired by everything related to nature and the relation between all the living beings, her current body of artwork depicts wild plants, animals, mineral and femininity in a visual poetry where real and unreal are mixed.
Her artwork as always been intimately related to nature and animals, they inspire her these “mise-en-scène” which allows her to give a new meaning to reality and to create a new visual narrative, mixing concret world and phantasm.
Degioanni draws most of the time with ballpoint pens, her favorite tool, precise and strong. Her practice draws from the vision that emerged when reality and dream overlap, she seeks to draw the opposition between the anxiety and the enchantment: the “in between” space, this subtle limit between the strange and the beauty.
