Despite his age (born in 1958) Chris Fraikin is still a newcomer to the art of photography. Educated at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, The Netherlands where he studied graphic design, he built a professional career in the graphic, the IT and the music industry.
In 2014 he decided to focus more on photography. Besides projects of all kinds, he currently found his main field of interest in what he calls “archtracts“: minimalistic extracts of in particular architectural and urban objects.
Mainly he roams at industrial sites to discover the objects which are photographed in a contemplative way. In his work you will clearly recognize his original graphic background.
Chris Fraikin has been selected to have his works published in the New Photography 2016 book, published by Gup Magazine, which will contain works of the 100 most promising new art photographers in The Netherlands.
