Alessandro Boezio is an Italian artist with a versatile creativity, who uses an incredible number of materials, both precious and not, to create sculptures and installations infused with sense of humour.
He transforms reality by toying with concepts and objects. As the artist states “Everything can be transformed, everything can be re-used, everything is re-adaptable”.
Boezio’s works often show a strong bond with nature, bizarre in its micro and macro representation. At the same time, he pays a clear homage to technology with its useless knick knacks and men’s illusion of its essential need.
Interpreting archetypical symbols and mythological stories, Boezio creates sculptures of bizarre anatomies made of mixed media, and site-specific installations characterized by the connection between sculptures and golden strings.
His work has been exhibited in numerous personal and group exhibitions in Italy, Belgium, UK, Spain, Germany and USA. Boezio lives and works in Milan.
