Irina & Silvu are a couple of Romanian born self-taught collage artists and photographers, currently based in UK.
They met in 1999 while both studying Philosophy at the University in Transylvania and have been accomplices ever since.
Their works are part of a series of juxtapositions and nomadic stories that explore the idea of migration, displacement, re-location as dis-location.
All Irina & Silvu’s collages are hand-made, using found images and old book covers, sometimes accompanied by quotes from books.
