Beetles+Huxley (London) presents The Photographers 2015, in association with Osborne Samuel Gallery. The exhibition contains over 150 prints by some of the world’s greatest photographers, ranging from early twentieth-century vintage prints to contemporary cutting-edge photography, in a celebration of this increasingly popular collecting field.
The show includes Richard Avedon, Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, Ren Hang, Melvin Sokolsky, Josef Sudek and Edward Weston, among the others.
Once again two leading London galleries join forces to exhibit a spectacular survey of masterpieces by leading international photographers spanning over a hundred years from 1910 to the present day.
Photography has only recently become broadly accepted as a collectable art form in the United Kingdom. It is now omnipresent in London’s art world as galleries, museums and art fairs develop their programmes to include the medium.
Spread over two Mayfair galleries, The Photographers 2015 is a response to the momentum behind the medium. Beetles+Huxley have gathered important and rare prints by a large range of significant artists, with the aim of highlighting the quality and diversity available within the market much of which is still considered good value in comparison to other collecting areas.
