The PhotoPhore is proud to be partner of Hong Kong People’s Fringe Festival 2015 that is going to have its Kick-off Ceremony on 21st November at 90 Club in the Horizon Art Space (Hong Kong), with “Invigorate Freely, the City Blossoms!” as theme of the year.
The 4th Hong Kong People’s Fringe Festival will include 38 events, involving 36 venues for 153 shows. The art festival is going to take place from November 21 to December 20, 2015.
Founded in 2012, Hong Kong People’s Fringe Festival is an open-access multi-arts festival entirely initiated by the community. It embraces every form of art, encouraging local artists to promote the fringe culture in various communities. It also resolves to uncover new spaces for arts purposes, and to enliven the city and the hearts of its people.
Last year’s festival showed that there was a high demand for art in Hong Kong. The alternative venues also revealed Hong Kong’s more interesting side. To allow more freedom and flexibility, the festival did not ask for funding from the government or from private sectors.
Apart from local artists, artists from Canada, the United Kingdom, the US, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Switzerland, Austrailia, France and the Philippines have congregated in Hong Kong in the past for this annual occasion, spicing up an already exciting celebration of the arts with an international charm.
