Cristina Coral is a self-taught Italian photographer. Inspired by music (her father was a composer), after graduation and several work experiences, she has chosen the camera as her main mean of artistic expression.
“After having attended a workshop, I immediately understood what the camera could have given me in terms of experimentation and discovery of the world around me and more over of myself. Photographing has become an imperative language“.
Her main subject is the female figure, her beauty, faces’ expressions and details. Cristina tells stories through photography, capturing moments with shades and evanescence.
Amongst her recognitions there are two gold medals at the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris, 2014; Honorable Mention at IPA International Photography Award, 2014; Honorable Mention at the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris, 2015.
Her work has been exhibited at events of Vogue Italia , at Convivio, Circus Studio Gallery , Carla Sozzani Gallery, and Space E. Contemporary. Many of her pictures have been featured and published in several magazines on line.
Her projects “This living hand“, “Hidden beauty” and “Do not disturb” have been published on Lens Culture and some of her photos are represented by the agency Art and Commerce of New York.
