The PhotoPhore is very pleased to present one of the WINNERS of the photography contest LIVING THE NATURE, the first event part of the project FOCUS PHOTO WEEKS: Pablo Charnas, one of the winners selected by public vote.

Pablo Charnas is a Polish freelance photographer based in Wadowice, Poland. Graduated from The Cracow Academy of Photography in Cracow, Pablo is fascinated by the documentary, fashion, and portrait photography. He believes that a beauty is created by the process of looking. He never loses the sense of wonder: with his simple, stripped-back compositions, Pablo Charnas creates minimalistic images full of great colors. He took part in group exhibitions in Poland, Greece and USA. He was awarded the third place for the photo “Minimalist Lighting” in the category “landscape” by the Cultural Centre of Wadowice, Poland.

The works presented, beyond the winner photo, are part of his photo project: “The Dark Night“.
According to Pablo’s words: “The project is concentrating on photography at night. I try to capture a uniqueness atmosphere at the moment. The purpose of my project is a story about a loneliness at night, among the big city at night. For this purpose, I used only light and darkness. I was inspired by the places by accidentally, which aroused my curiosity during travel at night.”

“Places are a border of the city. Usually and specific, found by spontaneous getting lost on the road. Additionally, in my project, I used to weather conditions, which exist at the time of taking photographs. The long exposure technique is very specific for long irradiation of making photographs. The pictures are created as unquotable. The pictures are impossible to replicate. The works were created in the period 2014-2016″.
